You can earn up to 50 points by reading and summarizing two current event articles.
The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Economist, CNN, Time, Newsweek, Forbes>, etc. The articles you select should cover unemployment, inflation, GDP, the federal budget/national debt, or macroeconomic policy tools (fiscal or monetary). Your two summaries must be posted separately and include properly formatted citations to receive credit for both. Each summary should be at least 100 words.
There will be point deductions if all requirements are not met (shorter than minimum length, not on a topic related to the class, using lengthy quotations without quotation marks, missing the citation, etc.).
If you post both of your current event article summaries by 11:59 p.m. Friday, August 4 (and all requirements are met) you will receive up to 50/50 points. You can post summaries as early as you like, no need to wait!
If you post both of your current event article summaries by 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, August 9 (and all requirements are met) you will receive up to 40/50 points. No credit will be awarded for anything posted after August 9
